Where is your studio?

Rockshoot Studios is a home studio situated in Ilford, East London. It's a 2 minute walk from Ilford station which is on the Elizabeth line.

How do your headshot session work?

Once you’ve booked and paid your deposit I’ll send you my full location details. Our sessions are always 1.5 hours, 2.5 hours or 3.5 hours slots, with as many outfit changes as you can manage in your allotted time. We always allow for a minimum of half hour between clients so that you can feel relaxed on the day and if we happen to run over, it’s no issue.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit for booking each session is £70. Full payment of the remaining amount is required on the day of the shoot.

 

Why 1.5 hours and not an hour? 

If you want to rush in and start shooting right away, we can absolutely do that! But for us, that half hour is a key marker that allows for us to relax, have a sit down, go through your outfits, check our variety our coloured backdrops, look at any inspo pics and have a cup of tea (it’s on the house - literally). All to get you under those bright lights feeling relaxed, and confident. 

 

What happens next?

After our session, you'll be sent you an online gallery with all your images in 12-48 hours. You then pick your selections and those will be given a full edit. If you want more images edited, it’s £25 per additional image.

The full edits will be sent to you within 10 working days, often much sooner.

 

What should I wear on the day?

Well, ChatGPT recommends the following:

“Choose solid, neutral colors—like black, white, tan, or soft earth tones—that keep the focus on your face. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or anything too trendy; these can distract and date your headshots.

Pick colours that compliment your features:

Make sure everything fits well and feels comfortable—too tight or too baggy can be distracting. Keep clothing clean and wrinkle-free (steaming the night before helps a ton).

Jewelry should be minimal—think small studs or delicate pieces. The goal is to highlight you, not your accessories.

Can I iron my clothes on site?

Yes, we have ironing and steaming facilities.

 

Can I get changed mid-shoot? Can I shave mid-shoot?

Yes, no issues.

What happens if I arrive late?

If you arrive late then you arrive late, but please give us as much noticed as possible so we can dive right in when you arrive and still get the most out of your shoot.

What happens if I arrive really early?

Unfortunately, due to it being a home studio, we don't currently have much of a waiting room so please don't arrive any earlier than 10 minutes before you alloted shoot time.

Can I play music? 

Yes, feel free to connect to the bluetooth speaker and play your faves.

 

Is there parking?

Yes, one parking space out front and more in the surrounding area.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations happen, if you notify us 48 hours in advance of your session your deposit can be refunded.

 

Can I get the full-resolution unedited pictures sent to me?

Unfortunately no, but I’ll keep them online and accessible to you for 12 months so feel free to ask for further edits down the line.
